Coolum has several shopping areas to enjoy; the newly renovated Esplanade (known as 'Coolum Retail Precinct') across from the beach meanders down David Low Way to what has become the local's favourite, 'Element On Coolum' shopping complex, which features several unique eateries interspersed with beachside shopping.
Birtwill Street is located a couple of blocks down from Element On Coolum and is another 'local's favourite' area for retail shopping and cafe-style eateries. The left-hand side of Birtwill Street boasts a unique collection of smaller shops worth visiting for fashion, gifts, jewellery, homewares, souvenirs, beach toys, books and much more; while the recently renovated 'Coolum Shopping Village' is located on the right-hand side of the street and features a Coles Supermarket, Australia Post, 7-Day medical Centre and a wide variety of retail outlets to cater to your every need.
With another large shopping complex located nearer to the Sunshine Motorway on South Coolum Road, residents and visitors alike are spoilt for choice and rarely need to go 'out of town' to satisy their shopping needs.
Coolum Park Shopping Centre can be accessed by turning right into South Coolum Road at the first single lane roundabout after entering Coolum from the Sunshine Motorway roundabout. Here you will find a Woolworths Supermarket, Chemist, Travel Agency, Medical Centre, Bakery, Fashion, Newsagency, Cafe-style eatery and several other retail outlets.
